Shame Dixon's RA mix: http://www.residentadvisor.net/podcast-episode.aspx?id=48 is no longer available. Best mix I've heard in an age which really quite surprised me. Got a real laidback feel to it. I'll try and bang it up somewhere over the weekend and post a link. Well worth it.
Very nice indeed! As you said, laidback, but with an undeniable groove to it, too. I've been annoying my fellow veal pen (read:cubicle) dwellers all morning tapping whatever was handy to the beat.

I just dont know
been listening to the Kerri Chandler Essential Mix, its very very good. the first 25 minutes or so are unbelievable, so much groove. after that sadly most of the sounds are tainted by horrible memories of smarmy bastards in northen wine bars and women with too much makeup/not enough clothing. hopefully i will be able to shed myself of these associations at some point!

am i right in thinking that Dennis Ferrer is the man behind the mix of The Cure And The Cause that everyone has been loving? It seems odd that more is not being made of that, given the blatent connection with US Garage. Anyways, his tune on that mix, Church Lady, is immense

Yes,the very same man.''How Do I Let Go'' is another great tune by him and he has also done some great 'Afro House' stuff {'Children of Afrika' Remix for example}.

As for ladies sporting too much makeup/not enough clothing....bring it on just as long as I dont have to go to a northern wine bar to see them LOL!

Ha that is such a Jay Haze record.

Check Chelonis R Jones if you haven't already, and Tres Demented's "She'z Satan",

ive tried all of the above but theyre not so much what im after. really like a few of them but its more the freaky prince-esque/hip-hop/rnb angle im looking for (for want of a less amateurish description)

You've heard the International Pony album?

Tomboy - Swan
Tomboy - Synchronize
Wagon Cookin - Start to play
Zwicker - I get my kicks at nighttime
JD Davis & Chab - Girlz - JD Davis mix

That last one is my fave track at the mo. Hotness incarnate...

<b>"We're delighted see that this thread has proved so popular with Dissensus users and that so much has been contributed to it. However, this thread (and the other "Gossip and Lies" threads) are getting so long that they are pretty unmanageable, and they're beginning to suck a bit of the life out of the forum. Virtually all of the posts here would work better and get more attention if they were in proper, smaller threads. So we're going to close this thread and all the other "Gossip and Lies" threads (other than the cricket one, which is so different from all the others that it probably still has a place). We know some of you have really enjoyed this thread so we're giving you a week (seven days from now) to make your farewell posts, then we're going to close it. After that, we'd love it if you could contribute this energy to the broader forum."</b>
