Nah for sure, another stone cold killer track right there...I think the only Skanna release not by the man himself...and it stands up to Skanna's own stuff which is saying a lot cos any fule kno that man like Skanna is* one of the all-time great junglists, easily in my top 5 or 6...man Skanna what a great label...

also tbc "bite" doesn't have to be hard-hitting or bloodclart or darkside...just so long as there's some kick you know...I mean like Omni Trio was the king of this...that whole SR "ambient jungle" thing...

*or at least was until he got into shite trance...

Did you get the Skanna reissue double pack on sublogic? Think there may still be some available.

I always rated Springheel Jack as the kings of 'ambient jungle' myself...

hell yeah I did! the excellent Invisible Man ones too, Graham Mew is another one of my favorite jungle producers, perhaps even more badly underrated than Skanna. The Undergraduates - "Space" is in my top 10 all time for sure mate...

you rate their stuff then? one of those names I haven't gotten around to yet. you know what I was just listening to the other day was Boymerang - Balance of the Force...

actually this reminds of a thread I've wanted to start for awhile...gimme a minute...

the interviews tho...cripes...Prancehall had that thing a year or two ago where he posted an old Photek interview (I think the same one Droid posted) & a much more recent one - maybe from the early 00s - it's like night & day. I'm not an expert on English accents - but - the difference is obvious even still, the vaguely scruffy Cockney thing has given way to Rupert from St. Albans or whatever...

Oh man, I'm totally guilty of this, tho. People from the provinces in the south of England are basically accent neutral, just some generic south east slur, so we just copy what we hear, desperate to fit in. I always end up saying "Beffnaw Green" to a cab driver, which is just fraudulent. No big conspiracy, just an inferiority complex ;)

I'd always assumed he got the accent once he went to the states, but just found an interview apparently from the 90s where he's already got it.

He sounds completely different to that interview from a year or two before, so I guess he was putting on one or the other.
