Just been listening to Danny Bond's latest mix (Vol36). Personally this is my favourite Bassline mix I've heard so far.
i know right, mate. danny is the man. thats really kool as well, cause i kinda saw you leaning more towards the darker 4/4 stuff..
and he definitely helps put the 'house' in 'basslinehouse'...
lol, the shout in the intro is ma boy alex(simmo). they are all top fellas/djs/producers!

i've not heard this mix yet either.. but ima few tracks through and its heavy...

lol, i actually edited the first track (which is four minutes of NYE event ads announced by alex) off the version I have uploaded so it is just the pure music. No disrespect intended!

Agree about putting the 'house' in 'bassline house' and Danny Bond keeps it balanced still. Some top tracks on there! Still learning about the scene and going to my first bassline night on 30th December (Shaun Banger Scott and Jamie Duggan @ Feelin' Funky in Oxford, UK) so please excuse any faux pas I might unintentionally make! :)

i wouldnt really say that has any similarity to happy hardcore, in a way reminds me more of the tapes by tony de vit and the like my mates sis used to play about 94 when everyone else round our way was on the binman/xray/tizer paddy hardcore continuum, far too 'gay' for derry boys

you're right, actually. basslines instead of hoovers.

international ghetto bassline crew, funk and assault next to toddla t - who incidently played at the warp chrimbo party.
who is sinden though? he seems to get around alot but all the music i've heard by him has been really bad.

Sinden does a lot of stuff with Switch and was part of Solid Groove I think? His productions have been in a lot of different genres... He's in the diplo/hollertronix crew/camp.

he was never part of Solid Groove, but he is very much associated, and has done stuff with Dave Taylor in various guises, some of which is actually very very good imo. but now he's more known in his own right as a dj, he's been referred to as the UK's Diplo lol. 'ghetto' hipster type stuff, he plays some really good tunes though to be fair.

yeah he was on the cdj's on MIA's tour. When he plays out its all french electro/fidget but his shows on kiss have been good, interesting guest mixes. I really dont get that Danny Scott mix, full on wigan pier is right. Maxines crew in the house

that sounds like a wicked line up - if fabric wasn't such an abysmal shitty meat market i'd be there.

i thought Solid Groove was only Switch now? did it not used to be him and Trevor Loveys?

Sinden draws hard on ghettotech and juke and all international booty bass, goes through genres at a ridiculous rate, and the vibe i get all in all is that slightly distanced glamourisation of 'ghetto' etc... the raves i see him at / associated with always seem to be full of self-conscious and fashion-orientated vibe, hence hipster

club is a less judgemental way to put it for sure, maybe im being unfair, but i guess i am generally quite cynical about the vibe. although as i say i rate a lot of the music

on a more positive note your new tunes are heavy, Float is sick, as is that one with Werd2Jah. what ever happened to Be With Me and those next ones...?
