Prompted by some external interest, now all the highly collectable CDs have been sold long ago, it was high time to archive. Think back to 2002, to the heady , chaotic days of the early Grime scene, baffling gameboy bleeps & more importantly those bonkerz ads for hairdressers down the Old Kent Rd. Yup 1hr of London radio at it's most extreme & energetic.

"What would be a radio if it tuned itself ?" - Pirate Flava asked this question each week for 10mths from May 2002 till Feb 2003 on Resonance104.4FM

nice but what you HAVE to do now is archive every single weekly Resonance show for those unfortunates not living in London when it was broadcast

Nice one wonk. The UK shed mix in particular is fantastic. I moved to London around the same time as these recordings were made. Reminds me of tuning in to the pirates and being like "what the hell is this?"....

Edit: Hang on, some fucker complained about this show? Jesus. This country...

The 'UK Shed Mix' wasn't really the point of the project, in retropect, it was just the tastiest beatz that came out of the project @ the time. There's loads more obviously, probably an hour more good stuff than wasn't included.

As for the complaint, it remains strange, someone actually moaning that "we're legal promoting illegal type ting?" Why anyone should bother to go that far remains a mystery especially as resonance had such a weak signal at the time and was fighting to broadcast at all.

On legal grounds we broadcast illegal stuff cos that was legal , geddit! the whole project relied on that.
