Thanks for throwing up the link - what a great afternoon it has been listening to him. He is so utterly compelling.

Even Vance comes out of it quite well - not half as smashy and nicey as i would have thought.

The adverts are like proustian madelaines!!!

Darned cockwombles.
Wow. Dissensus comes up trumps again. Have been reading about this for years. Only on the first track now, but it's good already....

This is great on many levels.

I've got my computer plugged into a radio for audio so listening to this again on Monday morning was properly like time travel.

Peter Hammill? Tim Buckley?!

You can almost hear Malcolm Mclaren gnashing his teeth in despair at Rotten's selection, dickhead that he was...:p

McLaren is quite an interesting character, tho. If not always the "nicest" guy.

I think if anything,McClaren has a keener ear than Rotten.Dont forget that McClaren managed the 'Pre Punk' group The New York Dolls before the Pistols. He then assembled an english band who sounded a lot like them and Rotten joined as vocalist.Back in New York he dabbled in Hip Hop wilth the record ''Buffalo Gals'' after meeting Africa Bambaataa. This was released in 1982.A couple of years later Rotten was still following McClaren's lead when he made ''World Distruction''.
