it's a very good song, but the lyric is embarrassingly whingey when he's referring to his betrothed as 'woman'. Just, er, leave her if you don't like anything about her? Let's hope it's an imagined situation.

Haha, it's quite awkward yea knowing this is real life stuff. I thought it was fiction. Still love the song though!

Aw now I feel sad for Christina Milian :(

Chrissy, if you read this, keep your cool. I'm here for you if you ever need someone to scream out loud FUCK ME to.

I currently enjoy playing Wiley instrumentals on youtube, they now have a snowflake feature on it, makes it even more eski! The snow doesn't melt and you can move it around with your mouse! LOL

Oh this. Lots. It rocked the New Year's party this year, it's not new, it's the best argument that normal fucking people shouldn't make music. What genius.

Pretty much all of Fela is great Andy if you didn't know him before, that Zombie one - and the story behind it - is essential.

Yeah I was recently reading 33 Revolutions Per Minute by Dorian Lynskey which has some fascinating background information about Zombie and some of his other songs from that period. So far all I have is a 2CD compilation but will be definitely delving further into his catalogue, he and his band have such a great sound together.

I've had a funky xmas too Andy, treated myself to the 'Star time' James Brown boxset. Its the first box set I've ever enjoyed all the way through, (arguably the only truly essential cd box set ever?). Kicking myself for having slept on stuff like 'Get it together' and 'Mother popcorn' for so long, practically every track is drop-dead brilliant.

^ Yeah I really should get the Star Time set, everything I've heard from it has been excellent. I've found myself listening to a lot of P-Funk recently, also stuff like Sly and The Family, very obvious reference points for people who are into that sort of thing of course, but despite enjoying bits and pieces from them over the years I'd never felt the need to dig deeply into them until now.
Water No Get Enemy by Fela is an absolutely immense tune, everyone go listen to that one.
