you can't buy it, i think 2 alternative versions came out on vinyl (different beat) but they're rubbish

should be easy to google and find the mp3. failling that, email me...

Alright this is going to drive me mad until someone tells me. What US RnB singer vocalled this riddim? I think it's a single.

Almost the opposite question as the thread starter - does any dancehall get pressed to vinyl anymore? I'd love to have that on 7". I remember Stelfox did an article about this a while back - anyone still getting the odd new JA 7"?

(If there was a doddery old man icon, I'd post it here).

yeah most of it still comes out on vinyl, it just takes a while to make it there (mp3 releases predate the vinyl ones by 3-12 months or so)

the reason this one never came out on vinyl (with this beat) is that it was jacked from the ne-yo tune miss independent. though having said that, i'd be surprised if there wasn't a bootleg 7" release around somewhere, i haven't been keeping up with vinyl releases so much recently

Does that much stuff still come out on 7? I checked shops and distributors in Montego Bay, Port Antonio and all over Kingston in 2007 and couldn't find one new dancehall 7". A bit of new roots and one drop and that was it for new tunes.

sweet to the belly.... never went away! :)

droid - i guess it isn't being sold in JA cos no one's buying/playing it there, but europe (and i guess japan) is still importing 7s regularly e.g. soundquake

Yeah sure - but even the distributors didn't have any! A few things in Tuff Gong but that was it. It was strange hearing dancehall on the radio 24/7 but not being able to buy it except on CD at stalls at halfway tree...

yeah true that's weird. i know some stuff is being pressed in germany/europe now (eg massive b i think?) but i know one love in ja are still distributing vinyl. they're italian though lol

I've been here six months and I have yet to see a single sound playing vinyl except one vintage rocksteady DJ who has his own distro & pressing plant.

Ramping Shop is a wicked wicked tune, for sure! creepy robot sex music..
Unlikely to find it on vinyl internationally, because EMI (I think that's Ne-Yo's label) even sued over it.. I only see it on compilations here. The only way I get singles is on CD when people at studios give them to me..

keep your ears open for Elephant Man's answer to Beyonce's I Can See Your Halo - transforming her mawkish moaning into autotuned rasta blessing..
