I love a high percentage of acid stuff (I agree with Mr DMX that its almost hard to get wrong, its such a great sound), but I think my favourite may well be this one, which I noted a track on the FACT list was off the original 12" of....Mike Dunn's "Face the Nation":
I only got to hear a faded edit of it on a compilation til a few years ago when I got onto Soulseek. After years of obscurity, it has been given a nice repress now by Clone in the Netherlands & seems to be creeping up in people's affections via the latest acid revival. I tend to prefer acid tracks where it sounds like its dripping off the walls in huge globules, but this one does a great effort of combining that semi-spoken Chicago gay club vocal (Tyree on this occasion, which I'd stupidly never even realised til today) & a rising line that kinda presages the poppers-like intensity favoured on 90s acid stuff. Probably not to everyone's taste, but I've never tired of it in nearly twenty years...

That's funny about Spanky, both he and Fast Eddie are "E.Smith"
You're probably right about it being him.

I also forgot to mention Stakker Humanoid
