Wasn't this also chill rob g's song originally, produced by mark the 45 king then redone by snap?

Not exactly, but according to this song's very own wikipedia entry, it includes samples from "Let the Words Flow" by Chill Rob G, "Love's Gonna Get You" by Jocelyn Brown, and "King Of The Beats" by Mantronix.

Felt very naughty listening to this when I was 13. Listening back to it now is mental. Proper filthy Ghetto house, like Cajmere's 'Percolator' or something.

Not the only incongruous political use of 1990s euro dance pop I came across in that period. Once I was in club in West Belfast where they played 2 Unlimited 'Get ready for this' and at the chanty bit most of the dancefloor started chanting 'I-IRA' along to the song.

The Cranberries - "Zombie" (Techno Remix) used to get a similar reaction whenever it was played in the fenian dives of my rural Irish youth.

Still - in terms of utterly comical misappropriation of pop music for political purposes it's no worse than Johnny "Mad Dog" Adair's UFF / UDA brigade adoption of Tina Turner "Simply the Best"
