only posting this cause of the comments at this point now im trying to listen anything BUT drill

funny how all is fair game but some tacky and a vaguely choral beat have man talking how their reaching for their bibles or writing really overblown portentus posts about how Jesus is always there to welcome x person into their life

dont know if this is a christian literalist thing black people have or just something i notice with my African people but either way i roll my eyes (on that note im surprised NOBODY in here has brought up the whole business with SPAC Nation and the Hopedealers)

will say nice to hear a female voice on a tune for once

When you look at drill lyrics written down, it's like looking at something from Finnegans Wake.

Shotgun diligent, I'm looking at bro like isn't it
One man up in the OT spot, 5 hours straight like man's been billin it
1-2 fizz on a ding dong ting, been and shoot like man's not listening
Im out here on a quiff quoff queff man whip that thing like mans not missing it

The 2nd verse is a great contrast. Faster, less bass in the voice. “Moscow march with diligent goons”. If you just saw that written somewhere and had never heard drill before that’d be a bizarre thing to read. Its like the language they speak in clockwork orange (clockwork orange of course a dystopian novel about a gang of nihilistic boys inflicting needless violence on the streets of London)

could definitely do with a drill novel. there isn't even a jungle or grime one for gods sake. ive read some of the autobiographies, they don't do it at all.

Dunno which Japan tune is bring sampled on this one, but I much prefer the actual tune to the ghosts one... (I love the original of that)

Isn't that really good jungle tune also using a Japan sample? The Ray Keith one? But I think he's altered it a bit, or slowed it down.

If the 80s are the 50s, as per muvents contention, and the 10s therefore the new 80s, who are the Japan of both the 50s and the 10s?
