I wonder if he was watching Keith Meets Keith on Channel 4 last night when he had the heart attack? If so we can blame Keith Allen for his death

Sorry about that, I made a mistake.

Although his 'music' lives on in my heart, if that makes things better.

Moved to Misc with the other food related threads at reeltoreel's request.

I hadn't heard of him but i'm going to look for clips now. The first step toward the joy of cooking is realising there are two kinds of 'cooking wine' :D

It turns out he died before the broadcast, snoozing at home after a sumptuous lunch at the Mark Hix place in Dorset. Of all the celebrity chefs, Mark Hix always comes across as the most personable and possibly most talented. Good way to go, considerable style and excellent timing too.

He'd already seen the Keith Allen show on DVD.

For those of you who are vegetarians...switch off. Because this programme is going to upset you. What a legend!

This is an adorable clip. I must go to France more often.

I didn't like it. He just looked ill and sounded grouchy. I always liked the generosity and bon viveur, as much as the pithy python.

terrific incite, full bodied documentary I thought. refreshing to hear him cut deeply into other chefs. lots of horrible moments coupled with the good, the bad and everything lese inbetween. like the man himself.

Actually, I did say that I thought this shoudln't have been made, but I took it back. Watching the whole thing, I think this is the first time I've ever really liked Keith Allen. Very good interview, and touching, despite the bile.

Oh, shit. I am watching this as it goes along. His daughter just turned up, after a 10 year absence. Maybe this shoudln't have been made. That fucked up her attempt at rapprochement, poor girl. What a cunt!
