    Basic Channel vs. Underground Resistance

Yeah, they are two seperate things. You are right on about Berlin, it was never a producers city in the 90s, only BC and Klaus Kotai did something worthwhile. I don't see UR as unique as they did too many different things, and to me it's hard to distinguish a true UR sound. When they split up...

    Basic Channel vs. Underground Resistance

BC without a doubt. UR are great, but not unique, unless Robert Hood early solo stuff counts. And Mark Ernestus is one of the best producers ever when he works with Jeri Jeri/Ndagga:

Ride the Sky: The Music of Flight

all solid tracks, but this one need an extra mention as this is one of my all time favorites and that's rare as it's not from the 90s. Nearly sublime, weightless vibe and sounds like it was made without effort whatsoever

Ride the Sky: The Music of Flight

A light-as-a-feather track by Luke Slater. He should have done more like this

if New York can die so can London

It will be back within 5 years if the current hard/fast/whatever techno bollocks doesn't calm down a bit

if New York can die so can London

How can anything be better than the 90s, let alone all things techno related

What is the hardcore continuum to you?

Hey, I am not in disagreement with you there. I am all for no-soul-guaranteed tracks. But you can make those without being generic and a jack-of-all-trades. There is not a hint of 'soul' in the trad rock sense in any Wolfgang Voigt project, for instance. And he was/is not a jack-of-all trades...

What is the hardcore continuum to you?

Yup, listening to the destroyer ep now. Forgot how well the 303 went with even the (anti-) deutsche breakbeats

What is the hardcore continuum to you?

He is smart guy, am I right he also did write his techno records 'properly', with notation and all? He is not exactly cancelled as such, but did rile up a few of his fans post october 7th :

What is the hardcore continuum to you?

What you need is E de Cologne instead, someone who actually broke the hardcore continuum. Actually he put himself solidly in the very underreported amiga-tracker-lofi-non-rave-referincing-still silly-techno-hardcore continuum very well (his puppet techno act for instance)
