Rolling (though slowly, I'd imagine) Gaming Thread

Yeah Flashpoint is quite buggy, but it's just a symptom of having such a large sandbox environment with so much going on across such a scale at any one time. Unfortunately, throwing co-op players in to the mix only serves to exacerbate things. There is a patch on the way though, which should...

Rolling (though slowly, I'd imagine) Gaming Thread

Recently clocked Halo: ODST, which was a nice little timewaster, but maybe a little brief. Maybe that's for the best though, because with epic titles like Oblivion/Fallout etc, I usually fail to finish them even after playing for 20+ hrs. Picked up Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising last week...

    Clothes

Finally got a new jacket, ended up going for a woolen Penfield parka. It's reet warm so it gets the thumbs up from me, money well spent.

    PERCY INGLE vs GREGGS

Greggs is only good for the steak bake in a buttered roll combo. I can excuse the chewy 'steak' filling as the melted butter/gravy sensation is so great. Never had a Percy as there aren't any in Scotland (as far as I know), but I'd vote for MacDonalds bakeries if it was an option. Great steak...

Ben UFO - Ruffage Sessions 01.10.09 archive

I think I'll DL & listen to this instead of tuning in to who's covering the Ruffage show tonight, a bit wobble heavy for my tastes.

    wonky

Fair enough, but even though I'm a bit disappointed by Butter, I think it's more down to HudMo being more of a singles/EP producer rather than someone with the scope to do a full album (although this isn't likely to stay the case for long, he's only 23 or something). Same goes for Rustie, he's...

    wonky

I've not liked it as much as I thought I would, but it's still a decent album. It gets off to a good start with the first track, but the flow is ruined by the ridiculously crappy skit at the start of the second. It's sad, but nearly all of the better tracks on the album I've got from previous...

    Paying for Dissensus

Will make a contribution as soon as my balance allows it. Although I don't post an awful lot, I've gained a lot from my use of Dissensus, whether it's through participation in threads, observing debates & discussion, or just hearing what's what from people immersed in other scenes. Long live...

    Funky/London/UK House

I didn't have any problems, can you use pop up/script blockers at work? If you're on Firefox, get NoScript, could save your arse a few times if viruses etc are a problem at work.

GRIME- breaking news, gossip, slander, lies etc

That Jack Daniels track is crazy, hard as fuck. Not sure if I like it, some pretty cheesy elements to it, but I'm sure it would destroy in the right club.

Ben UFO - Ruffage Sessions 24.09.09

Nice one, I usually miss the show and have gotten plenty of mileage out of the previous recordings, always appreciated. If you can be arsed to knock up a tracklist that'll be appreciated too ;)

Hip-Hop References that fly over your Head

Ah, I never knew they were white. Reading up on wikipedia, it appears will.i.am had his first ever appearance on a Blood Of Abraham track

Hip-Hop References that fly over your Head

Were Blood Of Abraham known to be proper Black Israelites? They didn't spout a large amount of ideological mumbo jumbo, well apart from "By the way/The god that you pray to/Is a black jew".
