    Definitely - i love minimal house with a funky edge. I think a lot of dancemania, Relief records,and Underground Construction stuff has that approach . Thanks for the tip Nick on teh cabinet record comps. I am gonna be on the look out for this stuff.

    true enough. when i mentioned the term funky dubstep to a friend he just said -"that's 2 step". Sometimes- I think the adage of the term funky to something connotes(to me) that it has become or is corny whether it is or not.
