NOUGHTIES 'NUUM POLL - Dissensus top 30 garage/grime/dubstep/funky/bassline tracks

The list is surprisingly poptimistic so far! I wonder if there was a concerted effort to prove we're not as gloomy as we appear? I know I tried to balance light and dark tracks with my list, but I was expecting things to be more Grimey and underground...

Straight Jackin fire: http://www.bigtunesmp3.co.uk/tunes/game-over-by-screwface/#7 Nice and wompy, watch for the 2nd drop. This one's good, but it's not on the same level: http://www.bigtunesmp3.co.uk/tunes/code-red-by-screwface/ Nice organ tune from man like Paul Lawrence...

NOUGHTIES 'NUUM POLL - Dissensus top 30 garage/grime/dubstep/funky/bassline tracks

Literally the opposite of the case!!!! Benny B is a funny man! Still, that would actually make the whole list a bit more edgey, I'm (pleasantly) surprised at the amount of garage and funky so far. PS if you don't like northern music then you don't like drugs.

NOUGHTIES 'NUUM POLL - Dissensus top 30 garage/grime/dubstep/funky/bassline tracks

Do You Mind was high up my list as well, looks like it's gonna do pretty well! Also - I'll be very disappointed if Heartbroken doesn't make the top ten, although that's aboute the only bassline track I can see charting at all, unfortunately :(

NOUGHTIES 'NUUM POLL - Dissensus top 30 garage/grime/dubstep/funky/bassline tracks

It's a shame, cause apart from the big charting tunes (Oi, Pow etc) and some of the artists which even middle class indie kids in north west London clocked (JME, Dizzee) I totally missed grime and all the famous freestyles. To my very uninformed ears JME & Skepta on Spaceship riddim's one of the...

NOUGHTIES 'NUUM POLL - Dissensus top 30 garage/grime/dubstep/funky/bassline tracks

Oh wow, I actually put Buck & Bury right at no.1... I wonder if that tilted it towards being included! I know it's a bit of an obvious tune, but the drums are absolutely fucked and I actually got into Dubstep way late in the game via the Roots of Dubstep comp, and that was the tune which really...

    NOMS FOR NOUGHTIES NUUM POLL?

Alright, you've shamed me: it shall be done! Should I be doing this based on perceived greatness/importance or just on my favorite tunes?

Big up!!! Looking forward to dropping Jackin on the massive Heavysick Zero soundsystem!!!! I also second that Jp-ackin fans should definitely make their way to GollyGosh and Void which will be a lot of fun!!! Pandiculate: Haha, know her from study abroad in Kyoto a few years back! Small world...

    House & Bass

Naaaaah!!!!! House & Bass it the totally vybeless, difference flattening, flavour-free alternative to any of the others. I'll stick with "bouncey wobbly mucky in ya face catty phat beats (aka real house music)" thanks

HAha, yeah man of course! Very safe guy! That's funny~ ------------ So listening to Tom Shorterz + Lorenzo's Rinse mix. Definitely not feeling the first half an hour but it does pick up after that. It does show off Marcus Nasty's skills though like, the tunes are all bit and stuff, but it...

It's called 'GUM vol26' but I think the guy running it might have it on some weird setting where you have to have added him to see the event or something? I'll mention it to him. In the meantime my facebook's http://www.facebook.com/thebesteverdeathmetalbandoutofdenton and I'll shoot you an...

It was banging!!! Really good sound system! I've been constantly impressed with the quality of DJs out here actually, some really next level technical shit you just don't see in the UK. This guy Seiho was particularly mental: And later in the night there was a DJ going in with straight footwork...

I'm not saying you can't have fun in London. I'm saying that generally on a London night out you have to 'put up' with a lot. Maybe it's crowd aggrro. Probably it's at least one DJ breaking in to really boring tech house lol. Maybe it's people scowling at you when you smile at them. Maybe it's...
