    and david toop. toop was massive for me. so: reynolds/bangs/toop. young'uns/young-guns: i thought mike powell had excellent taste. andy beta has exquisite taste too. with andy beta you know it's going to be worth checking out (part of the good taste thing has an element of playing it safe f'sure)

    i used to be madly in love with lester bangs writing (aged 19) that psychotic reactions book was like a bible to me. i do not exagerate. but i had another look a year or so ago and i wasn't quite as struck by it. still very special.
