The UK has become (almost) irrelevant

When I first came to rinse I played everything. Now I don't play 4/4 or 2 step because to me it sounds dated. That was 3 years ago. I was playing what you people would call grime from when I first started djing 4 years ago. I just happened to stop playing new 4/4 and 2 step with it. You'll...

The UK has become (almost) irrelevant

Miss Fiddy, thankfully you don't appear to change ur taste every 2 months to ensure u can pay ur mortgage, so when you write about grime, I believe you have credibility. Big up all the journalists who backed Dubstep, while saying grime was crap.... and when Dubstep fell on it's face started...

The UK has become (almost) irrelevant

Grime is the first genre to successfully institute a firm culture and make it spread into the predominantly white suburban areas. Jungle was the template which most of todays biggest grime artists grew up on, but grime is the first thing that the youths of London have invested their culture...

The UK has become (almost) irrelevant

Reading articles about the grime scene always makes me chuckle. People wonder why I don't like Grime being reported in Newspapers because "all publicity is good publicity" I'd rather it wasn't written about by the sort of journos who change their musical tastes 2 times a year to stay...

    The Dogzilla/Doogz Confusion Thread.

Wiley's dub on Pulse Y for heartless crew was big using those bars. Dogzilla and Syer are both big MCs who just have to find their niche and make that one hit track to get them on their way. They've been vocalling beats tirelessly though, their dj gives me a new tune from them nearly every...

    Whither Dancehall?

Has anyone looked into reasons behind the recent rise in bpm counts of many of the big riddim tracks compared to previous years?

    Whither Dancehall?

Not to be a negative voice, but riddims like the Chaka Chaka are why Dancehall is currently in a decline.

    Vinyl Pressing: Tips and Specs

Pressing vinyl is actually legal drug dealing to most people in the Grime scene. If you break it down to the basic pretence that you pay money upfront and receive an amount of product that can be turned into a far larger amount. (1000 White Labels costing £770 and returning £3500)...
