    Multiculturalism’s gone too far

Trilliam's like the biggest Headie fan, and I'm sure he'll tell you lot off if he ever gets a day off from his real life job. I'm at a limit of my power. I can point to plenty of culprits but it's like, I'm too invested, I can tell apart too much minuta. It's like with me and trap back in the...

GRIME- breaking news, gossip, slander, lies etc

Ah it's majorly insignificant. Essentially Trilliam shared it and I said "Right on, a lot of the younger guys are going for that nerd money in the wake of grime losing that mainstream hype" b/c of the Planet Mu affiliation. No offense meant because I like a lot of the MCs on it and thought it...

    what are you reading now?

I finished Fanon's Black Skin White Masks this month. It's something I've been chipping away at and turned out to be v. stimulating and appreciable. I'm now gonna piss that all away with reading a self-help book from a pro-wrestler. Because I'm all about balance.

GRIME- breaking news, gossip, slander, lies etc

Me and Trilliam had a bizarre entanglement with the man who A&R'd this compilation. Some good tunes though.

    Multiculturalism’s gone too far

Abra Cadabra ruined drill long before Headie did. He didn't last at all but it was the clear tumor point where rot started to truly manifest. Headie if anything extended it as a genre but likewise demonstrated there was a rapidly forming ceiling.

    Multiculturalism’s gone too far

Yeah but that's irrelevant because nobody was trying to emulate Game in the 2010s. That's a "Tree falling in a forest with nobody to hear it" moment.

DJing is a right wing abomination

blissblogger was right to say "There's probably more in this direction than the alternatives". Even then you'd see people try to steer him to vaguely acceptable wobble-types like Raffertie or Starkey. Producers who I like but were rightly ignored compared to the rush of the dubstep so many of us...

DJing is a right wing abomination

Bangers and anthema creates the atmosphere of the 'lowest common denominator' and patronization. Yet more often than not the educative DJ comes off as someone spoon-feeding the invalids. "Without me, they'd probably be eating their own feces and wallowing in the Skrillex records again, ho ho ho."

DJing is a right wing abomination

I didn't mean to imply that alone was solely in the right wing because servicing the people in bland platitudes is as right wing as anything no? "I'm just saying what everyone wants to say but doesn't have the guts!" etc.

DJing is a right wing abomination

Supposedly that's a Ron Hardy trick. Hardy would play a song, not get the reaction he wanted, bring it back 15 minutes later, and then keep repeatedly plugging it until it hit the moment he got what he wanted from the crowd.

Uhm I mean that's not just influenced it's sampling that one Mala tune. Because it was done so elsewhere: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/wJGcwEv7838" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture"...

DJing is a right wing abomination

There's a deleted Kode 9 interview where he describes two types of DJs, the ones who service the people and provide good experiences and 'Hitchcockian' DJs who know their power to SUBJECT the floor to something and toy with that. Indeed, both these descriptions create and incredibly...

DJing is a right wing abomination

No to be fair he's only encountering bad euro jazz so the origins don't even bother to fit into his comprehension of jazz. He's just gonna be looking at a bunch of German dudes playing swing badly and shaking his head in disgust.

    Futurism's overrated

Ya, but it's about forging a collective understanding of how to define what the goals could and perhaps should be. I balk at the notion of Timbaland belonging to things such as Jungle; maybe it's b/c as one of the few USian users I have to Evel Knievel about in the USA jumpsuit for my own...

Can I say, as a toxic misanthrope approaching old age, you two squabbling is the rivalry this place deserves, far better than my one-sided bullying of Corpse.
