    Dubstep

I bought the LP, I really like it but I am a huge fan of HP anyway, you have to hear it as a whole. I kinda wish they would do more of their classic 2 Step beats, too many of the tracks are 'on beat and they sound better on the 'off beat

    Top 10 Records of 2010

true, I also think its about what you want from the track, I mostly buy vinyl to play out so my ears are listening for tracks that work on the dancefloor, some tracks are great but lack the punch I want tbh, I never really started watching Ramadanman until Wad, his earlier SJ stuff didnt...

    post-'06 dubstep that sounds 06ish

bit more full-on but I reckon this would sound great on a massive rig when that sub kicks in, its serious Emalkay - Crusader (Levels) http://www.redeyerecords.co.uk/products/Emalkay/Emalkay_DP046.html

    Funky/London/UK House

yh, I though that too, a lot of the time you CAN'T really hear the track, just the beats, and the MC's riding the beats, so its not a funky showcase but more like an MC showcase, is that a reason why heads like these shows so much as they just miss the 'multiple MC's on sets vibe' that Grime...

    Ramadanman / Pearson Sound

The sound is OK if you are right at the back of room 3 but you can def hear both as you go in. I flitted between Hessle & the garage room, Oneman was hype "Andy C" style mixing - super quick. Also enjoyed EZ - bass was heavyweight & Todd was amazing (caught latter half of his set). I thought...

    Ramadanman / Pearson Sound

Saw him play on Friday at Fabric, dropped some great tracks, Hessle room was criminally quiet but was nice vibe, actually also quite liked Icicles 140 stuff, cold but def funky.

    Dubstep

I just think its a shame they waited too long to put this out, Coki was one of the first originators of the bass expansion/dynamics/wobble sound and this is a retrospective, I'm sure it will sell well but its the impact was made long ago His tunes, even the wobble ones, do have a soul but it...

    Terror Danjah

yh I saw him at a Night Slugs night (I think?) coupel of years ago and he was good, made me dance:o I can see the point about his tunes though - some of them arent very 'tracky' but there is a funk there for sure

hmm, still tempted tho, squeeze in for Todd & Oneman and try find a tiny space in the Hessle room to soak it up? no longer live in the London area so it will be train - club till close and early train home, solo mish as the wifey is 'over it' but part of me still feels 18 :o

    Dubstep

agree with Blackdown, the Fabric mix was the start of the rot, the deathly creep towards mid-range and moshing:p

    Dubstep

lol at this RT I saw on Loefah's twitter ruskoofficial "I have no idea whAts happened to Dubstep. Where's the funk n groove gone it's all distortion and aggression.... Laptop open changing things." Where's he been for the last 2/3 years?

anyone seen the line up for Fabric on Friday? Todd Edwards, Oneman & Hessle (BIG) planning to reach this but havent been to fabric in years (literally) - what's the queue like these days/best time to get down there? also anyone know where they list the set times? (dont want to make the trek...
