sorry guys for starting a petty feud anyway - it was pretty childish of me. is there anyway to delete a bunch of posts just to keep the thread undisturbed?

    Warp 20 Boxset

grizzly bear have some really decent tunes I think. I think there are some really strong acts currently on the roster - fly lo, battles and ggd have all had a few good releases. I'm not such a fan of what I'm hearing from the hudson mohawke LP though

    Warp 20 Boxset

yeah I'd agree with John Eden - it's something that you'll probably be happy you have over time - especially the book and all the artwork. I'm pretty upset that they aren't offering some of the components individually like the new boc tune or the book.

really couldn't justify this kinda payment... But it looks awesome, would have loved the book, most importantly (as far as I'm concerned) - what's the new boards of canada tune like?

gotta say I think the 2nd part is the strongest of the hyperdub series. The Samiyam tune has gotta be one of his best... As for the Mala one, I really wanna like it - and kinda do for sure, but it just doesn't get me really. The LD and LV tunes are good as well

    Mercury sucks (2008 redux)

ha, I haven't listened to the album in full.. But all the tracks I've heard from her album have been pretty dire. would it be too cynical to suggest that the judges were just trying to go for the shock factor and try and gain a bit of credibility. To call it best British album of the last year...

anyone heard the Shackleton mix on MAH? unbelievable, he's gotta be the most exciting producer around right now

johnny greenwood on mp3s and audio quality

is everyone on here concerned about most people's lack of concern about actually paying for music these days. Given spotify and youtube's shite royalties rates, and an increasingly claustrophobic music industry it seems like it's going to be fucking hard to make any money at all off of recorded...

did anyone on here reach DMZ at Corsica? would be really curious to know how it went. Lineup was as good as I could have hoped for really so I'm pretty annoyed I couldn't make it. I think a change of venue might be a good thing for DMZ as the vibe at mass has been pretty off the last few times...

    Dubstep

Yeah, I've never really been able to get into Boxcutter. Seems to fly all over the place without really getting onto anything with a decent groove or melody. He's made one or two tunes I rate like windfall for example. I think a lot of mu artists suffer this same problem - it's all computer...

    Records for twilight

most BOC stuff, especially mhtrtc. Julien Neto - Le Fumeur de Ciel is a really brilliant album which harshly passed under the radara bit.

The Anthony Shakir release is huge, well worth a look. Can anyone direct me to some good Kwaito?

    benga and eve?

It's pretty different sampling and singing over a whole track though I think yknow. An instrumental dance tune isn't designed for a vocalist on top of it in terms of allowing space and certain frequencies for the singer to go on top, and also structurally too. Anyway, it's not really all that...

    benga and eve?

Gotta say I think this and all the other rappers over dubstep tunes are horrible... The songs haven't been designed for vocalists on top, its just not musical... If you get the producers to make tracks for the rappers then that may be another story entirely....
