I read it.

It is complete bollocks and also awfully written.

But I did not read it at "an impressionable" age or the in absence of reading other things that were better argued and in opposition to it.

Also read books by Stirner, Nietzsche, Anton LaVey, Crowley etc who all go for that lone genius/ubermensch thing. Which is not a position I'd support but they were all better books than the Fountainhead.

All these self employed muso types who play to stadiums are ripe for that stuff.

Anyone successful and famous I guess. Self justifying innit. I might be inclined to think that way if I wasn't a barely viable haunter of the margins.
