Modelling Fees advice wanted

My friend has been offered a contracd with a modelling agency, thing is they want to take 38% of her earnings and she thinks that sounds high. To me it doesn't sound as bad as all that - this is the way things always work right? - although maybe a little on the hgih side but really I've got no idea. Anyone know what most of the top agencies take?
Cheers

I know a lot about this, but I'd prefer to discuss it with her face to face, etc etc etc ho ho!

Don't get out of bed for less than 10 grand, naturally.

38 per cent sounds high, but then again how much of a wrench that is obv depends on how much she could expect to earn.

It's high, there was a thing last year on models on newsbeat

http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/10002929

which she may wanna check out. I'm sure the better business bureau, citizens advice or the association of model agents could also be worth checking.

Don't know much more than that, other than it's a hard life.
