Marcus Nasty show from the 19th June and I think there's some of this stuff in there, there's this tune by Mc DS and Venum (Dirtyscraps) called ''Cutting Shapes'' and I can't find an MP3 anywhere + it might be a mix but anyway its about 26 mins in and its fucking darkside stuff.
loving the last track of that podcast. it has that thrilling 90's vibe!
does anyone know where i could find the track?

Listening to the last Mark Radford show, some of these track have a slight bleepy feel to them which is kinda cool. The gigs Radford plays sound rammed (no surprises there then !).

Yeah, that Arun Verone mix is fully sick. No bullshit, just pure darkside rollers, stupid massive basslines and loads of swing in the drums. Classic Pantha innit.

great article, greg wilson is a boss

majesty guests on supply's show they do a little interview at the beginning talking about this, really interesting discussion

for those who dont know/wanna know about the scene this is required listening still

the only drawback is the lack of focus on shuffling which doesn't even get a mention

Hi

Back after a very very long period just lurking!

Drawn here by the Wire article, which intrigued me re: shuffling. I have to say that although if I squint I can see the Footwork connection, the Carlton Banks comments seem to hit the nail on the head - more of a refreshingly relaxed "I'm just off to have a little boogie on the dancefloor" than a bolt of lightning setting the world on fire...

Was just wondering if anyone knew if any & which oldie tech house etc bits are getting dredged up & resurrected by the new boys? When funky was breaking I came across a few broken beat-ish things I'd completely missed the first time, like Ear Dis' "Hey Girl" - wondered if there were any parallels?
