Has someone else already mentioned this Bristol based crew?

They had a write up in the Wire which was where i first caught sight I think... uvb-76 wire.jpg

Been really enjoying the moody take on jungle. It's probably a bit nostalgic at times, but still very enjoyable for me.

They've also got a subsidiary label, stone tapes, referencing the Nigel Kneale TV show.

Slightly confused that one of them has renamed himself Karim Maas, presumably to sound more German? Rest of the names are suitably dark: Vega, Pessimist, Overlook etc.

They are playing MCR in November.

yeah i know what you mean. the odd mix feels a bit ploddy, but generally they seem to be doing a good job out of so little.

Enjoyed the samurai. I went to the uvb showcase at the white hotel last weekend. Massively disappointing. None of them can mix for fuck. All just builds and really obvious drops. Shit crowd as well. Lager and pill lads, dancing on my feet, banging into me to get close to the few girls in the place. White hotel is now a bag of shit, there I've said it.
