the second album gets a lot of praise for its disco revivalism but I found it sounded simultaneously garish and cheap. She's got incredible presence as a vocalist on her music but the first album does more for making her into a persona than the second, which sounds like they've been writing with one eye on TikTok memes.

Girls absolutely lose their shit to both Dua Lipa and Mabel in the club, i dj'd at a 10th birthday party (as a big favour for a friend) and all the girls there were all crazy for her as well.
