tricky one this. not much of an afrobeats fan and tend to gravitate to dancehall about blokes shooting each other in the face. but these did come to mind:

the other question is how song and full of longing in needs to be. because there's a whole sub-genre of dancehall that has a similar emotional lushness and grasp of 'soundscape' that you get in maleek berry, but are less wistful.

Yesssss this is exactly it, that first vybz kartel is absolutely it, so beautiful. These are all great, that mavado and alkaline are on too.... keep going
