Really like this. About time he did something where it doesn't sound like he's half asleep.

trim seems to have been doing the same sort of thing for a while now. choppy or drawling bars that dont really relate to each other much. writing isnt as good as it was. good to hear him doing something a bit uptempo. one of the best things i heard him do was on some old set where he was going over donaeos bounce. really suited him.

interesting that butterz are rereleasing ghetto kyote. thats weird but kinda cool... grime reissues...

good choice to me. though id like it if butterz put out a footsie or tubby double pack. maybe a double pack between them. could be a butterz/braindead co release. or some archive/unreleased dubs records of various producers. wished logan kept releasing those producer eps he was doing actually.

dunno?, would love to see something that got a poor press first time round again, understandably it might be hard to get hard of the original recordings or whatever, i dunno, as a personal preference I didn't really feel GK too much when it came out, so it's not hating or whatever, it's a good idea, i just don't like the tune.

releasing ghetto kyote is great, instant buy, but would be sick if butterz released an UNreleased classic like i dunno, umm dizzee's 'win' or 'we aint havin it' or R U Double F or Footsie's 'hit it' or hectic squad's 'music' etc etc. (although many files have probably been lost)

Surely if you have an issue with what a label are releasing it's time to start your own.

I think Ghetto Kyote is a decent choice- makes sense in terms of the Butterz aesthetic and it's a genuine fucking classic. Makes perfect sense.

If we're on the subject of repressing/pressing old grime tunes though, why has no-one said Waifer yet?

i would love to have a label of my own but doubt i can just call up waifer and have him fed ex a load of beats over sadly lol

will buy the ghetto kyote repress though - never got one when it came out and its obv (and deservedly) a classic.
