Underrated until it starts to strangle the fridge. Had one of these and it went out of control. A couple of flats ago I planted the poor bastard in the garden when I moved out.

They are a bit of a penance, spider plants. My ex-girlfriend had several, and they were huge. She kept on palming off the "child" plants that form to other people. They must be one of the most hardy plants on the face of the earth, as even I can't kill em.
