I think I got Marcus' digits to send him tunes to, but I haven't tried it yet. Also asked Geeneus about this tune:

<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,0,18,0" width="325" height="28" id="divmp3"><param name="movie" value="http://www.divshare.com/flash/playlist?myId=7955050-4e2" /><embed src="http://www.divshare.com/flash/playlist?myId=7955050-4e2" width="325" height="28" name="divmp3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed></object>

Can't remember what he said it was called, but it's not by him apparently. Keeping it close to his chest.

this was ID'd a while back (in this thread I think)

Yeah Marcus was great at Beyond last night, seemed like all the girls turned up to see him. Proper hype set!
Big up Scratcha's Timmy Mallet glasses!

Can anyone ID the tune Marcus & Scratcha both played that starts with what sounds like a ball rolling round a roulette wheel then goes quite tribal?
Big Tune!

Had to leave before Roska :(

Also a few of Scratcha's later tunes sounded like old jackin' techno, wasn't expecting that :slanted:

hearing some funky out and then listening to the mac 10 set ory just put up has me 100% converted. i know im late, but gimmie a break, im on the other side of the world.
that set is on all day everyday right now.
still cant get over how bad the first 45 minutes is though. its literally the worst thing ive ever heard. then it turns into the best thing,.

yeah cooly was pushing the system hard!
Missed most of Scratcha and Marcus but Roska had some really exciting sounding bits that i hadnt heard before in his set. Particularly like that one with the really muffled horn type sound (know ive heard it before but cant remember the name).

there were definitely moments last night that when i was like 'this is 100% where it's at' esp percussively, and others (tho less frequently) when i was like "dear emperor, what wonderful new clothes...".

Suprised this has stayed off most people's radar's for so long - think it came out at the back end of last year though I'm guessing Made 2 Play isn't a label that many folk are checking. (also, it's great)

was beyond busy yesterday?

Yeah pretty busy, lots of girls in dresses which was a bit of a departure from fwd.

Know what you mean, a couple of those cooly tunes with tuned metal sounds (i reckon a selection of different size kettles) were very special.

Interesting Marcus Nasty interview @ Blackdown's blog. Sheds some light on the NASTY Crew break-up (he shows remorse for how he dealt with Jammer, and blames the demise on Sharkey Major!!!, his views on grime, and on funky.

Read here: http://blackdownsoundboy.blogspot.com/2009/09/marcus-nasty-interview.html

Also talks about how he encourages grime DJs to cross over. Ruined grime's best crew, and converted grime's best DJ. Now working on converting grime's new best DJ. Bastard!

Marcus really smashed it last night, lots of good tunes - Gabryelle special was a lot as the 1st tune. Funny mix of people when you are used to the standard PP clientel but all the better for it I reckon.

Cooly was good though not really in to this playing three year old big room minimal (Ame etc)...come on guys, the music you are making here and now is heads and shoulders above 90% of stuff out of Europe at the moment!

Really good interview. Surprising candour from MN. Had to laugh at the Logan / Westwood bit.

Sick Boy - Do you know anything about this Toronto show? UKC?
