Radikal Guru

track name: Conspiracy

BIO:

Mateusz Miller aka Radikal Guru is a producer and dj born in northern Poland.
Based in Cork IE Guru has been setting up dancefloors around Europe with some of the heaviest dubstep beats coming out of the country. Heavily influenced by dub originators such as King Tubby, Scientist or Lee Scratch Perry, Radikal Guru produces sounds of roots reggae combined with dubstep.

Started in 2004 from making trip-hop, electronica and jungle beats he developed his sound by experimenting with ethnic sounds of Middle east and India. In 2005 Radikal collected enough material to put it on a demo album called “The East-West connection” which started spreading around internet community.

After moving out from Poland to Ireland his sound progressed even further. He discovered the world of dub music and it’s wide range of sub genres, including dubstep. In October 2008 he signed a record deal with Z-Audio and released some of his music with Dubbed out records.

mistersloane

heavy heavy monster sound
This was interesting to listen to, thanks for posting it up. It kinda makes sense - from what I know of Ireland - that dubstep would hit there, has it? Or is it just breaking? I mean, I know that techno was huge - drove through Letterkenny this year and saw that Green Velvet was playing! - and that dub has always been big so it makes sense.

What venues play it? Is it nights people are putting on? Where? I've always wanted to tour Ireland, although what we do is a bit, um different.

I kinda really like mixes where someone tries to sum up a place or a scene, it really helps give an overview for people not in that country so thanks.

bandwagon house
Theres been regular nights in most of the citys for a while, four or five in Dublin at this stage.
Everyboby from el-b to 16bit has played so everone is pretty much doing different things. What ever your into.

We're only ever 40 minutes from Bristol,London or Leeds so that helped in the early days.
We had the ripples of Garage the first time round.

As for homegrown talent, theres plenty of Djs and radio shows and at least three or four times the amount producers thats represented above.
Labels like [Naked lunch] , Alphbet set and the net label Acroplane does alot of stuff. So there records coming out too.

Same as everywhere some love some hate it buts its on the up.
If your ever planning on coming over check Irishdubstep.com or Smokelessfuels for a head up
