Simple Things
===============================
Simple Things is a brand new one day music and visual festival presented by the people behind Colours, No Need to Shout ,Chai Wallahs, 580 Collective, Adventures in The Beetroot Field, Crack Magazine, Start the Bus and Monkey! Knife! Fight!
Situated in the heart of Bristol, the festival promises an eclectic, forward thinking lineup spread across 3 city centre venues.
Taking in a huge melting pot of genres from hip hop, electronica, funk, dubstep and everything in-between…..The event will include 5 stages including a secret location. We’ve also teamed up with festival favorites Chai Wallahs to host one of the stages and bring you the summer festival vibes early in the year.
Where?
=======================
The Old Firestation is a huge expansive project consisting of 3 main venue areas. Incorporating an ex-fire station, two police headquarters and a expansive courtyard complete with fire tower. It takes up an entire city block and is in the heart of the city centre.
What used to be home to the renowned Invisible Circus, The space is one Bristol's most exciting and innovative venues.
The Festival also takes place in a 800 capacity secret location to be announced on the day!
Other Entertainment
=======================
In the Courtyard over the course of the day Warp Films will be showcasing some of their releases from the last few years. Popcorn at the ready.
A stage of local bands and DJs
Fear Of Fiction has been right at the front of showcasing Bristols next generation of Bands. Over the coarse of the day this stage will be hosting a range of local talent and will be headlined by Geoff Barrows (Portishead) newest project Anika.
Walkabout entertainment & games provided by Snowbombing favorites Squeaky Hill & Friends. Our resident random surrealists Squeaky Hill are back in the home town with a hilarious hold-all full of interactive idiocy and loony-tuned tomfoolery. So prepare yourself for all manner of preposterousness from the their interestingly insane itinerary!
