I think the ironic crack positive sentiment got him into massive career ending trouble in NY in the mid 80s.

No one ever seems to talk about some of the stuff that was super popular at the time i.e DJ Cheese & Word of Mouth. Can't say it's slept on but weird how forgotten that early period stuff seems.
