Structural unemployment comes for us all; drummers are just... Early

I was at the forefront / bleeding edge of the "leisure generation", but at some point it involved more work to be be unemployed to the point where it was just easier to get a job

edit: anyone who has been on the "dole" in the UK may know where I'm coming from ( i.e, RESTART, 6 month pointless and fruitless training courses hosted by third party contractors where you're just sat in some brutalist building doing fuck all but you have to leave the house at eight in the morning, when you'd rather be sleeping in to three in the afternoon and doing drugs, etc., )

yeah the furrow-browed hammering of the one-note bassline as the apotheosis of auteurist bandmanship...

I remember an amusing moment on late night telly when some interviewer asks damon albarn if his lyrics on some song were about heroin and the drummer chimes in and with immaculate timing says "my drumming is about heroin".
