The end of creative kudos

Soon the AIs will be too good for anyone convincingly to claim that their creative work was of solely their own hand.

That means no more geniuses and an enormous amount of redundant esteem to be spent on footballers even lower down the pyramid.

Because it will be impossible to get credit for being a genius, no-one will attempt to become one. Eventually the AI will run dry of new content and cultural consumers will have to make do on recycled great works from centuries ago.

I'm not fully convinced AI will ever really touch anything worthwhile yet. I'm sure it will enter my circle in such a way that it becomes more annoying to me personally but probably only to replace whatever current trend is annoying me, as these things go.

It's hard to become emotionally connected to AI taking over the video game fan art scene or the animation jobs for schlock major motion pictures.

I make dumb art that I don't have pretensions about and I could easily be replaced by AI but I think the way I do things insulates me from the trend as it stands now. I'm sure eventually the scene will be flooded with contemporary Warhol like AI artists, 'punk' diy ai art that will be annoying but there's already plenty of shallow low effort trends anyway
