"Shanghai" in Munich
this is the best TOFU I have ever had, EVER. ( and I always order salt and pepper tofu, thousands of times )
this was amazing
we went to a few restaurants in Munich and this was the best
it may have helped that THE LOVE OF MY LIFE is fluent in Mandarin but the dishes were tip top FIVE STAR *****
they did this other TOFU dish suitable for vegetarians
and it was fucking amazing
it might be a bit "spicy", but WOW
the waitress was a bit disappointed when I said I was flying back to Manchester ( although she didn't really know where that was ) the next day, but rest assured, next time I am in Munich I will be eating at the SHANGHAI RESTAURANT

I wonder if some people just hate on Mexican food because it's a "foreign food" (lol) that a lot of Americans like.
reminds me of a pretentious Russian artist I knew - constantly complaining about American this and that (what is it about Americans and their love of mexican food - it's just slop) - I often just wanted to bitch slap him back to his own country so he'd shut up 'cause if it's so bad here, then why not move?
although i also kind of get the sentiment because it's like the only "foreign food" some people, like in my dad's family will eat (not counting italian - that has been pretty americanized at many places here)
there is a funny story about my brother coming back from japan one time and going out to eat mexican with my dad, and he said that he was so glad that my brother was there because the rest of the family wouldn't eat "foreign food" LMFAO - yeah, we're getting pretty foreign there, aren't we?
