A Liniment's Evil Work
don't worry @catalog - I'm not necessarily going to go this route with the stuff I try to do for your vocals for our collaboration - just thought I'd mention that in case you got worried 😄

A Liniment's Evil Work
words from the label: "80 minutes of breaks and psychedelic experiments that are not to be missed!"

"psychedelic experiments"!
their words, not mine!
come test yourselves, psychonauts!

no, but really - it is quite psychedelic now that i think about if you can hear beyond the noise
there's even a bit where i'm mixing 180 and 120 together and some other interesting rhythmic combinations
not mention the more beatless stuff at the very start and more at the end

a couple of comments so far:
"Great mix! My favourite from this tryptic. I love how you blend a lot of styles and cover a wide rige of BPM. Also (the most interesting part, in my opinion) I love that these mixes doesn't only contain tracks from the last few months, but go dig deep into your collection and contain older tracks as well. That's exactly what i'm looking for when listening to a DJ set. Congrats!"

"what a trip, but you forgot some screws in my brain i think"

finally listened to this the other day and it was great. the track selection obviously, but also, imo, the transitions/blends are a weird mix of satisfying and headspinning. "hearing beyond the noise" is definitely a useful phrase here - it's unrelentingly chaotic and intense but there's a close-listening precision to how it flows that indicates you're in expert hands.
