This can function as a general cartoon/animation thread, but this particular era's what I'm interested in at the moment. The two shows referenced in the title were MTV's adult-animation showcases in the 90s that launched, among other things, Beavis and Butt-Head and aired loads of weird stuff that never went anywhere like this one about a psychedelic detective.
