I think matthew would be helpful here, but I'm talking about people paying money to other people to find out who they are etc and how that is now a legit business sector complete with real people, nutters, charlatans etc etc

it’s the type of work environment I’ve done my utmost to avoid since leaving school - weekend workshops in this instance workshops is code for pointlessly inane ‘bonding’ activities or group hikes, latter absolute worst event of all

imagine being in incredible hills and everywhere you look is some cunt trying to look like they’re literally cumming with excitement, or the mother hen who braces a group against the cold, or the TA bloke who brought an air rifle “just in case”

We had one with a slide pulley years ago over an almost dry river near Helvellyn and all i wanted to do was say fuck this, jump in the car and go and do a more private ascent instead of weeeeeeeeeeeeee cunts on rope pulleys and all the bs health and safety crap too like a few hi-vis vests change anything with one marked “marshal” who you naturally salute
