D&G can be compelling, but they're just making stuff up like everyone else. I don't put much stock in all the jargon and phrases like "carry a little piece of land with you". I try not to fully buy into anything, which, ironically, is what I read them as saying in that particular line anyway. It's just another way of saying don't overdo it, whether it's drugs, philosophy, conspiracy theory, or whatever else. They use the term 'destratification' but it basically just means loosening things the way psychedelics loosen mental structures or any other intense experience does. I picture something like scraps of paper or sheets of ice floating on water in loose formation, these pieces collectively make up whatever constitutes your personality, mental state, etc. and can be moved around to a certain degree, but if you were to take it too far then they'd drift too far apart or pile up into a big lump and lose all sense of functional organisation.
