Am I the only one here who receives press releases?

Here's another. To be honest, this is something I would probably quite enjoy, as second-wave or third-wave hauntology, but I think the press release is trying way too hard:

Hawksmoor - "An Aesthetic - Experiments In Tape"

Working as both ‘An Aesthetic’ and an aural ‘Anaesthetic’ this beautifully desolate release takes the notional concept of Hawksmoor’s hauntology further than before and into a liminal space of sonic saturation. Broken tape loops provide washes of hiss and flutter that blend with snatches of mellifluous instrumentation. Four-track mind/Tascamaraderie - A bifurcated listening experience dragged from a semi conscious travelling through a hypnagogic rainstorm dreamscape, James is stretching out here and this deeply immersive album has found it's perfect home on Lunar Module.

Press quotes for previous releases:

Oneironautics” is as out of time as it’s out of mind.” - THE QUIETUS

"Oneironautics" is a bit of a mouthful, although the concept accords with Gaston Bachelard's Air and Dreams: An Essay on the Imagination of Movement

Soul Jazz jumping on the hauntology bandwagon

I mean, I guess if you're counting bandcamp press releases that get sent out to all people that are subscribed to get notifications from labels and artists they follow, then I get tons of 'em, but probably not much of interest to people here, I'm guessing.

@Leo used to insist that all the boomkat blurb was just cut and paste from press release

so I know that @version, @0bleak and me are getting press releases every day

I know I do, and from what the other two post I'm guessing they do too

however, I know someone who used to work at boomkat and he moaned to me about he got told off for writing a review which didn't conform to the house style

so I'm guessing they 'paraphrase" when necessary

But this particular example isn't actively awful, it's just unnecessary.... and hard to imagine why someone would think it was a good idea or desire to bring it into the world
yeah, the lack of any expressed driving intensity or vision is galling. just eh, we were gonna make something and had these random ingredients lying around, so why not? cover art perfectly reflects that as well.

i guess i'm gonna be "that guy" again, but I don't see what's so bad about it - I'm also confused some other stuff but I won't say anymore since I think some people are already annoyed with me
