Hallo Dissensoids,

I'm doing a live set (as 'Xylitol' - sort of post-NDW, post Radiophonic Workshop DIY minimal synth) at this groovy looking gig tonight:

Fri 13 July, 7pm
Plan B present: Secret Landscapes
late night fridays - adventures in music

Further dispatches from the British sub-underground, chosen and curated by Frances Morgan, editor of Plan B magazine.

Bass Clef
Ralph Cumber, aka Bass Clef, redefines the boundaries of dubstep and IDM with haunting, vintage electronics and live trombone. Fully analogue and ingeniously intimate, this is dubstep as the music of chance, held together by solid bass foundations.

Knives Ov Resistance
Psychogeographical research music from shadowy electro/acoustic situationist organisation, who layer chiming folk guitars and atmospheric noise with turntable wizardry and operatic sampling to create post-apocalyptic doomscapes.

Xylitol
Xylitol is a one-man sound laboratory from London. On his recent mini-album ‘Functionary’ he welds post-punk/NDW electronic sensibilities with echoes of public-service soundtracks and Brutalist dancefloors.

DJ support from Blank Tapes DJs and the unholy pairing of Dr Wommm and Professor J Stanehard Cannonbury.

Secret Landscapes explores the intersections between the UK’s subterranean noise, radical free music, science fiction electronica, radiophonic workings, lost theme tunes, pastoral dub and surreal folk.

£6/5 concessions, £3 for Whitechapel Members
