The only thing G&R 2 suffers from is the fact that the Ruff Sqwad package is so good, so far ahead of its competition, that it's hard to judge exactly what to compare this to, and where to put it. It reminds me of a pure pop album, say, Yazoo's 'Upstairs at Erics' or maybe Orchestral Manoeuvres in The Dark's 'Architecture and Morality', crossed with early Triple Six Maffia.
I like the way they've moved to a consummate Uk package - away from aping US mixtape styles of presentation to Rough style graphics by Hale.
The actual songs - in this I mean the backing tracks - are just ridiculous, and flawless with the exception of maybe a glitch around tracks 17 - 19. I find it hard to fault an album - and it is, anyone who thinks it's a 'mixtape' is fooling themselves - that contains Xtra, Died In Your Arms, Alright and Rebore, let alone the plethora of newer tracks I hadn;t heard.
Favourite track is 'Killing Em' so far.
Congratulate them for us Logan, The majors are fools. I'd be interested so hear what first week sales figures are for this if you can get em. Is the DVD coming out as well?
