speaking of spyro, is his rinse show done, or do they just not pod cast it any more?

okay my last moan about mix cds is the shit artwork. FFS why should i bother buying them as 'physical objects' when the designs are so crap?!

HOWEVER

the best thing i have gotten lately - belatedly i should add - is logans xmas UKRS mix cd. this is the best thing ive heard grime wise in a little while. great selection, excellent mixing, its up there with the RWD mixtape from a few years back. everyone needs to get it. no excuses ;)

without trying to whore my own column out, the free DJ Magic mix I linked before would be right up your strata. half an hour of recent vocals; mixing's spot on.

I agree with you about the artwork - Ghetto's 2000 & Life one is probably the worst album cover of all time. i think the only legitimate competition was the Bruza one with the boxing glove. or something by Dream Theater.

yes hes really come on leaps and bounds since that early out of focus wiley cover. lol.

the out of focus/scanned from a school exercise book thing is quite popular on grime covers. hard drive is like that, that bruza one was like that too.

JME didn't even design the covers on 3 & 4, I swear Chris Charalambous done it

But I agree about the poor artwork around

Hold tight Scribbler and Chris Charalambous, real designers in the grime scene

i swear i saw a while ago that someone was doing a grime lyrics website - theres so little on the net - and most of it is really badly transcribed

maybe grime wikipedia should have a lyrics section?

by the way dirty canvas last night was so so large - they just cant put a foot wrong at the moment (though i didnt see mighty mo at any point - was he even there?)

well it didnt really kick off on time

sunship smacked it with a wicked old school set - proper vibes

then logan came on and no mc's showed up, crowd started getting a bit impatient - logan dropped classic after classic, it was like a rapid fire grime masterclass, so sick - then griminal got on, hyped the crowd a bit - then dj uniue got on - then ghetto came on, he was on for at least an hour or so, proper long, brought devlin along for a quick collabo

then once ghetto was done logan came back on, tempa t smacked it, badness was there, griminal, brutal, jammer, blacks, lightning - i cant remember cos i was drunk, but at one point there were so many people on stage that i swear the mc's were going to start fighting for the mics, bare cd giveaways, and it went on for at least another hour

then blackdown was on, but everyone had left and the bouncers were hustling me out of the room as he was playing some deep tracks - i was like "who's he playing for if you're kicking everyone out?" there were like "no one". weird

still, sick night

i wish i understood what ghetto said more so i could sing along - he was live
