any links to slew dem at sidewinder?

temps is sick. i love how on a set everyone else will just lose control or lose focus but hell still be totally concentrated on being fucked off and angry right til the end lol.

It's okay, nothing groundbreaking. Bless Beats of course did his thing but I think I liked Umbrella Vol. 1 better. My favorite track on it is "Sky Is Falling" cuz it reminds of the old pirate radio songs/sets I used to download from Limewire between 2002-2004.

Anyone else wanna weigh in on it cuz "Wearing My Rolex" is nowhere to be found on it. Why is that?

One.

Wearing My Rolex is signed to atlantic, as is BBK's VIP. So it's on that.

Grimewave is miles past umbrella imo but whatever. Grime Kid is f'ed.

fact music
There is a Ruff Sqwad album dropping this year according to AIG on grimeforum.

all i know is after a while apart working on solo projects they are now back in the studio as a crew working on songs again. this will hopefully lead to another ruff sqwad album later in the year.

durrty goodz album is shaping up to be a double cd (one more hh, one more grime), coming this year - don't worry about him, it's not gonna be a newham gens ting (i.e. lots of promises, no releases for time)

what's this about a tempz cd?!? top five selected, afaic.

i imagine 'wearing my rolex' is not on grime wave partly for licensing reasons - it came out on a proper label, it's top five in the charts, so why give it away on an underground mixtape?

Tempz CD, "2000 And Bax" should be dropping by the end of the year, although this is grime so who knows really. Should allegedly be out by then though, alongside Non Stop Working 2 and a couple other Slew Dem things. (This came from Spooky as well, so maybe. He normally doesn't talk shit).
In an ideal world it'll last 38 minutes and be completely hype and fucked. Who knows though.

Speaking of Tempz, here's that Sidewinder set. DEE on decks, Chronik & G Man there as well. It's sick tbh, and has my favourite ever DEE beat at 34ms odd. Tempz kills it, it was on the most recent Dizzee on Rinse set as well.
Also, because of the nature of the disc (and because I'm lazy) there's a Neckle Camp set in the same mp3. This is good as well, far better than most of their Rinse or Westwood sets IMO. Jammer haters may wish to press stop at about 43m55s.

"SPIT BIG BARS IN THE RAVE [TEMPZ]"

Probably my number 3 Grime MC in all honesty, after DEE & Wiley. I have different ideas than some people though.

I was confused about that.

I didn't realize that Grime Wave was a "proper" mixtape and not the Warner UK album. I was confused about that whole situation from jump. Glad to hear about Durrty Goodz project, I've waiting on that joint for hella long as well.

The UK proper album release situation as far as urban music goes is extremely frustrating and confusing to American audiences/listeners just so you know. Thanks for enlightening the out of the loop asshole Yank, I appreciate it.

One.

cant imagine the wiley thing is gonna be that good. will be interested to hear it though. but id prefer it if he just made some good 12s now. rather than ANOTHER slapdash mix cd.

good news about tempz and slew dem though - slew dem and waifa are really underrated imo.

anyone heard the roadside gs mix cd? is it worth a look?

The one called Gangsta-Grime lessons or something? I didn't really rate it when I heard it. There is a guy in there called Alan B which is found an incredible un-gangster name. Nobody can really top Slew Dem for aggressive Grime really can they? Blaze More Dan U still gets plays by me all the time.

That link is deadout, care to re-up please? You're a champion with these sets, I swear.

If you are referring to Grime Wave, don't be scared. It's far from slap dash. It's only 12 tracks long and includes all of his excellent recent radio hits ('Local Lad', 'Grime Kid', 'If You're Going Out I'm Going Out Too', 'Its A Par' etc.), plus a couple I haven't heard before, and confusingly "Sky Is Falling", which was already on Tunnel Vision 4. His recent radio singles have all been fire, and I for one am really glad to have them all compiled together on one CD. In terms of Wiley's quality control, which you can never really rely on, this mixtape is definitely worth buying if you like what he's been up to recently.

JME definately grates over a full CD

I thought his mixtapes were good for what they were and had some classic tracks across them ("AWOH", "Poomplex", "96 Bars of Revenge", "Serious"). Over sets though he can go either way, and usually it is on the poor side of things. His main problem for the longest time was that he wasn't writing any new bars, but I've heard two tracks now from Famous? and one of them ("Standard") is definitely a good example of JME on point.

And you gotta love that line from "Show":

"You might see me with President T/ but sometimes we call him ching chang chong/ because he cuts up rocks with scissors and makes paper/ that's what big man's on"

dunno. i heard that and thought he sounded flat/boring. didnt make me eager to hear the new mix cd. the beat was really slow/blocky/not much going on and his lyrics are ADD. both the flow and content are too simple. this has all been covered to death though - i think weve fully rinsed the pros and cons of jme on this board so i shall stop now. lol.

i think roadside g's gangsta grime 2 is my fave, they arent quite as good as slewdem really but i still enjoy them. literally it is pure thug aggression though, shanks and skengs all the way through non stop

i have only given grimewave a cursory listen - but - its still gonna be shit, just like umbrella was shit

if you listen to crash bandicoot after grimewave it will just make you cry

wiley shouldnt make songs
