I have a friend who is really into fashion and buys clothes from the internet regularly. While there isn't always an issue with the fit turning out wrong when it arrives, he has been known to cram his feet into newly bought shoes regardless of their insufficient size, then walk about developing Lotus Gait, a martyr to flashy footwear.

i buy 90% of my clothes on the internet
mostly because until very recently, my city has been a sort of wasteland when it comes to clothes
i have gotten to know my measurements, and most internet sites offer the dimensions of their clothes
i will admit to just crossing my fingers and that seems to work
i very rarely miss the mark, and when i do, i just chalk it up to the cost of doing business

Also London has that thing that it's so bloody big it's hard to know where to start looking for a lot of things - I often end up getting okay clothes from normal high street type shops because I just don't know where else to start looking for affordable but individual stuff...

went shopping with GF last weekend and i may be coming around again on this topic.
she got a long and slender white jacket which is so cool... in it her long red hair is on fire.
i got a form fitting short sleeve black collared shirt which is made of almost transparent material. interesting as it's kind of a perfect combination of 2 opposites: the cotton yoga beach comfort thing and the pseudo milliatary tight, minimal and fascist thing (has 2 buttons on the shoulders, so not quite those little army bands, but suggestive of them). GF says i look "dangerous"

I'm starting to get the impression that, unlike myself, everyone here doesnt just wear a uniform! I've worn the same clothes with minor variations for nearly 10 years now.

T's black, white, grey no logo. Long sleeve shirts more or less the same colours. Levis 501 always a size too big. Same haircut but greying day by day. Small coat
