you could just put a brick thorugh his window.
Went to the Curry Leaf on West Green Road near Turnpike Lane last night - it was pretty ace. Indian / Sri Lankan with a good range of stuff like koththu and dhosas and the like. Plus hoppers, which are great. Very tasty and quite reasonably priced (about £12.50 a head for main courses, a couple of sides, more bread than we could eat and drinks). Only downside was that the food took a while to arrive, although I guess that's cooking for you - the service wasn't bad there was just quite a gap between ordering and eating.
rah sloane i would feel SO guilty if i was you!
I thought koththu and hoppers were both fairly standard sri lankan? Although I'm no judge of authenticity (suspect not massive, but tasty enough anyway). If you want to suggest somewhere better then feel free...hmm.. it's ok.. only just re-opened after about 2 years refurbishing..
nothing particularly sri lankan about the food tho.
take away biryani for 3 quid on a friday is good value.
if you haven't eaten at jashan in turnpike lane then your life is a failure

i miss goddards pie shop in greenwich so much. i'm still in mourning after 4 years..
Any love for Morley's speaking of South London? Also there is a wicked Chinese place in Camberwell or Peckham or somewhere (it's a noodle place) that Gabriel and I went to once. Wish I could remember what it was called. It's probably on here already anyway.
I'm going out tonight for a mate's farewell meal in the Morgan Arms, E3 - I think it's a pretty well known gastropub, and the food is meant to be very good but it is fucking expensive, for what is ostensibly 'still a pub'. I'll report back tomorrow...
