Ive not heard the original version and i don't know who you are to be honest. i just hate that sample, it really got my goat and is a terrible idea. Why sample Riko threatening someone on radio if not to try and appropriate some sort of menacing feeling in the tune by association?

why does it matter who I am beyond me saying that it's my [and the other guy I produce with] remix?
We remixed the tune for mosca, that's what we did with it, people seem to like it.

I have no issue with you not liking the track, or the sample not representing what you want it to represent.

I'm just saying don't direct your anger at mosca for something he hasn't made.

this is the original: feel free to take issue with it now that you can hear it.

Right so the Riko sample is in the original aswell and i therefore feel exactly the same way about it. Weak tune, terrible choice of sample. No personal offence to you is intended because I've never heard of you before and it makes no difference to what i said anyway.

Anyway, I'm off to bed. I wonder what other people think of it though?

All I wanted to say was that you were directing your irritation at the wrong person [mosca] initially! I have no qualms with anything that anybody thinks about my music. No personal offence is taken at all.
If you feel the same after hearing the original, then fair play, that's your call. But for all I knew you might've ended up loving the original and thought that the vocal sample worked really well [however unlikely that would seem]
I just didn't think it was fair to attack Mosca for what essentially is our doing, although in the long run it turns out you have an issue with both, which is fine.

Allow Benny, Moscas tune is big and your remix is even better. I'd say it's one of my favourite tracks this year. The barrage of insults is unwanted. Clearly the sample was used for hilarity purposes.

i've already expressed my dislike of mosca/tilt shift, so suffice it to say the burgaboy remix injects a rude energy that the original lacks.

Ah! Now I remember this tune, the burgaboy remix is brilliant yes. had totally forgotten about that one! The sample actually works in that context.

Came in from the pub pissed and obviously in a bit of a bad mood last night, sorry if I came across nasty. The Mosca tune is still wank though ;)

semi related, and y'all prolly already discussed it, but i was pleasantly surprised last week by the Boy Better Know "Tropical" mix CD thing. especially those JME instrumental tracks, especially the first tune. so ill! has any of this stuff been released? i couldn't find any info on JME - Holiday.

tropical 2 is out on itunes, but i haven't bought it yet until i know it's on a better website. itunes compression has stopped me so far, that and the bitrate.

The todd edwards track on it is nice

The first Tropical CD finished with Holiday and the new one starts with it. If you haven't got the first CD its worth buying as its loads better than the new one.

The Edition 4 CD with the first Tropical mix on it is sold out everywhere. It pops up on ebay every now and then. The vinyl has got 3 great tunes on it so worth a purchase.

If you can't find a copy of Tropical Vol.1 send me a PM.
