i reckon arsenal will get 3rd, their strongest team in ages. although selling Song is daft.
I think Arsenal have done well out of this. £23m is a good price for a 29 year old with one year left on his contract and a history of injury problems, and you've got to think that Giroud, Podolski and Cazorla will get a fair few goals between them
It makes financial sense, and we're not competing with United anyway (which itself is hard to admit, but it's true), but emotionally it's really upsetting. Seeing him in a United shirt actually made me feel a little ill, which is made worse by the suspicion that he is going to do really well for them (naturally, a lot of fans are now claiming that he was only good for a year anyway, or that he wasn't that good to begin with - rationalising a footballing "loss" is understandable in a way, but this is pretty embarrassing).
I was at the game against Cologne last weekend, and so my last memory of one of my favourite Arsenal players is him getting booed by our fans. Pretty shitty situation.
Selling Song, on the other hand, doesn't make any sense at all. From a personal point of view, he was my favourite player to watch in this side. That aside, him leaving means we not only lose a great passer, but also our only physically imposing midfielder (unless you count Diaby, RIP). Apparently Song has been acting in certain ways, but that's up to the manager to sort out rather than sell him. We'll get 20 million for him but then have to spend a season with a collection of midgets getting over run in midfield.
I don't think Podolski will do too well, either.
