but from my perspective the forum's been thriving recently with danny l joining in some discussions and craner a while back and silverdollar returning and bellwoods coming and making a thread and kumar being wicked and the ig showing up and before all that all those fun polls we were doing.
this isn't me being facetious, the only thing before baked bean-gate that was niggling me was you; you constant negativity, this relentless need to try and call me out (for god knows what), stirring up unwarranted negativity, trying to pit me and luke as a little gang against other users.
that may well have been all my projection, but if i'm to accept that you have to accept that your perspective may well be too.
maybe other users aren't trying to get in the barty and luke gang. maybe they just have fun on the forum, sometimes with me and luke and sometimes independent of us. maybe there isn't some terrible regime and social pecking order.
maybe third was a bit rude to bellwoods, luke was in turn a bit rude to third and the rest of us found the whole thing fucking awful if not outrageous.
some elaborate conspiracy theory doesn't need to be constructed around it.

I guess I should make it clear that I don't actually harbor any hard feelings to anyone on here. Certainly not luka or barty. They're consistently entertaining and huge contributors of quality stuff. But I think the schoolyard cabal has gotten a bit carried away with itself and its time to be aware of that. In the glory days of 2018 we had all the good natured familiar elements (ribbing etc) going on amongst us with much less of the real toxic shit that we have going on now. One thing I've become more aware of over these last few years as our reality gets increasingly sinister, is that people tend to take their own misery out on others as a way to relieve some of their own pain. It's a temporary buzz to hurt someone and get a little rise out of them. It's that shit your mum told you when you were a kid. It says more about them than it does you. The thing is, it really does. Times are getting hard. We're all in the grinder one way or another and the only way out is by not going with that flow imo. Dissensus has taken that turn in the last year or so. I think partly there's a frustration on some people's behalf that we can't have a dematerialisation pt. deux and so there's a subtle desperation simmering away under the surface and partly because of the horror of the landscape slowly unravelling when we look out the window. It's time to try to be good to each other.

Yes of course fun is still being had, but for some much more than others. I'm not just talking about myself here. I get it barty, it's all fun and games to you. But I did get a bit of a sour taste in my mouth after seeing some of the contradictory shit going on with you, which I really don't feel like getting specific about, you seem to be aware of some of it anyway. I think we've said what needed to be said now. I really don't wish for much to change apart from a little bit more awareness of the dynamics in place over the last few months. Let's try and make it fun for everyone. Even those we don't agree with etc.

The initial thing that pissed me off is loads of people were on a thread saying how good it's been and how they love it and third waded in and said no it's not it's shit here and you lot are shit too. Then he went on and on about Barty and how Bartys a cunt and his music is shit on and on then the baked bean thread which was solely aimed at belittling someone else and trying to destroy what had been a good thread.
Before that things had been great. People kept saying it's great. And I was pissed off by that crazed sabotage. so that's all. I don't care what anyone says those are the facts.

I'm not going to pursue this feud. Before I got sucked into it I was intending to take a month off anyway. I've got a fairly big job to do and I need to focus on it. I'm sorry to all the innocent bystanders, I know it's not nice to have to watch that sort of thing.
But what I do have to say before I leave you and beagle to it is that this idea that any anger is always aberrant and pathological, can only ever be the result of 'personal issues' and hidden problems is patronising, dishonest and disrespectful. I'm angry for the reasons I said I was angry. They are perfectly rational and reasonable and adequate in and of themselves. If you're not willing to treat that anger as legitimate and as having legitimate causes then there's nothing more to say.
I don't have any personal problems I'm great. Don't try and make excuses for me.
That's the end of my official statement.
