The press release hall of shame thread

"...When a song means a lot to you personally, having it remixed is a lot like sending your child to undergo plastic surgery. In this case, though, it was like having the operation performed by doctors you respect as musicians"

    Dubstep

part of the reason why vinyl sounds 'warmer' than CD: There are certain high frequencies and levels of high frequency that just can't be cut to vinyl without distorting. Therefore any (Decent) cut to vinyl will take out these frequencies before cutting, otherwise you'll be left with nasty hi...

Fabric week in week out has such good lineups - like in a few weeks there's the Detroit legends Keith Worthy and Patrice Scott playing -...

benga - diary of an afro warrior

nah both the cd and vinyl i do believe were mastered at heathmans....the thing is, if you bring in as good a mixdown as benga must do - does it really need that much doing to it? especially if something if going on the radio which means it goes through loads of multi band compression etc - does...

benga - diary of an afro warrior

I really like this album, really good mix of tunes. Always though Benga's been underrated (interested to hear more about the 'great hard drive crash' of 2005 or somethin!) but its nice to see he's getting a lot of recognition now re the mastering: far too loud IMO - the cd is actually distorted...
